Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Ky... loads of cars with LT-1's and many vendors!
I live in Lexington, Ky. One hour away from Louisville. I just got back from the show today (got there at 8:30
) and I couldnt believe how many cars have been retrofitted with LT-1's. I spent my day looking at LT-1s and asking owners what they did to their PCM, since I am currently trying to tune mine. I came across many many vendors selling LT1 parts. Street & Performance was a big vendor, offering a LT-5 engine for sale, fully assembled, along with several TPI's, LT-1's, and 502 Ram Jets. The best thing, and I mean the best thing is that they offer a opti-spark for LT-1's of all years and the non-vented opti cost $325! Not having to go through the dealer or anything, I thought that was a really good price. Their web site is www.hotrodlane.cc. Of course, there were a lot of blown big block chevys driving up and down the parking lots with very radical cams
It is a place for real hot rodders/street rodders to be. It has everything, hell when I was looking around, it was hard to make up my mind for which direction to go! Way too cool and definitely worth the trip! Anyone looking for some centerbolt style vavle covers w/ baffles.... they are selling dirt cheap at about 75-100 bucks polished or chrome, there are others but more expensive. Many brand name companies are there, such as, Holley, Brodix, Edelbrock, Painless Wiring, CSI, S&P, Griffin, 3M, GMPP, etc.
Anyone not too far from the area should indeed CHECK IT OUT!
