Got $700 to spend go with converter or LT's???
I have some extra cash to put into the car. I would be getting a vigilante if I got a converter and getting Hooker LT's if I got headers. Since the price is about the same I would like some opinions as to which route to take first. I know I'm gonna be spending a litte extra to get a shift kit and tranny cooler when I go with the converter. Also I know I need a Y pipe to go with the headers. So I've factored in that extra cash to be available a week or two after the original purchase. I just don't know which mod to get first. Help me out guys.

You can get Jet-Hot coated LT's shipped to your door for $493...they're the exact same layout as the Hooker LT, only Jet-Hot LT's are thicker gauged...
As for the stall, you can usually find a great deal on them unless you want to drop the $700 for a new one...I got mine used with a few hundred miles on it for $350...

To take better advantage of a higher stall you would probably want to get better gears to go with it as well. I would get the LT's first. A higher stall isn't going to gain you any hp, the LT's certainly will
Stall+trans brake+sticky tires=
Nothing else like it IMO.
As a side note I have a buddy with 2.73s that did longtubes before a stall or gears and he ran pretty much the same 1/4. And another friend of ours did a stall and gained .5 sec off 1/4.

I'm 99% sure you can't put one on a 4L60E, and the only tranny's I'd put it on would be a TH400 and Powerglide, I've heard they don't do so well on a TH350.
Back on topic: I'd get the headers before the stall, because with the stall, you'd need sticky tires to fully take advantage of them.
