Stock Tranny Cooler?????
Stock Tranny Cooler?????
There is a radiator looking device mounted in front of my radiator. (towards the front of the car) This is where most people mount a tranny cooler. Did any camaros come with stock tranny coolers? This is a convertible if that makes a difference. Is this "stock" tranny cooler crap? I was planning on installing a new one anyway. Thanks in advance.
The big thing in front of your radiator is the A/C condenser.
And the stock tranny cooler is part of the radiator, when you add an external cooler, most everyone still utilizes the stock one. The outlet of the stock cooler goes into the aftermarket cooler, then from the aftermarket cooler back to the tranny. You want the aftermarket cooler to be the last thing the fluid goes through before going back to the tranny

Ok, that makes sense. The thing that threw me off is the size of the thing, just about the same size as the radiator, and the fact that many people mount their tranny coolers directly to the front of the radiator. They must be mounting them in front of the A/C condensor, or am I missing something here?
