I keep hearing everyone suggest 1.6 rockers when installing a large cam and I'm wondering why. I know it would be recomended and a very good idea, but I have the cam and no money. And I can't get rid of this itch to put it in. Has any body else done it and what were the results. Thanx.

 

I wouldnt risk it personally. I dont know what the stockers are rated at but I wouldnt want to be the one to find out. I'd rather spend some extra cash on the right stuff rather than alot of extra cash rebuilding a motor.

So............Ya'll are saying its the higher spring pressure and lift that the stockers cant handle?

 

I think if something just doesnt outright fail they will flex like crazy making your valvetrain very inefficient.

I highly recommending just waiting.
