Just a few days ago my rearend starting whinning. I know if you take gears out they make noise when put them back in, but the only work down to the rearend in 4 years is the pinion seal so the gears would have stayed in place rightt. This was done about 4 months ago since it was leaking. Would the fluid back there just be low or are the gears going out. The car is a 95 with 110k on it. And about how long can I drive it like this.

 

You really should pull the back cover off and look at the gears. Keep the oil that comes out and look for metal pieces or shavings. If you can't see any damage, put fresh oil back in and see what happens.
