Stock oil pan depth?

My stock oil pan is at home and I want to order a oil pump for it today but the guy wants to know the depth of the pan to get the right pick up for the pump.

Thanks.

What pump are you planning on running?

I don't want to start a discussion about what type of pump to use. I'm using a Melling Select HV by 10% with a anti- cavitation option, with a bolt on pickup. I had my son measure the pan at 8" but I want to be sure.

Re: Stock oil pan depth?

For future searches, the depth is 7.5 inches to the sump. And my son measured it WRONG and I ordered a 8" one........ Oh well I'll reorder in the morning.

I'm at this point on my stock pan build. Everyone agrees 7.5" is the pan depth for ordering pickups?

It's been a while, but I'm fairly sure I measured mine at 7.5".
