Is it ture that the stock manifolds are better than shortie headers on a stock motor.I hope not after all the money i wasted.

No, It's not true at all. Shorties are WAY better than the manifolds could ever hope to be.

We have two guys in the bunch that think they know it all thats who.

On an LS1 thats partially true but shorties compared to the Lt1 stock manifolds are way better. Anything is better that the Lt1 stock manifolds. The LS1 stock manifolds are much better designed. Guys usually dont get shorties on an Ls1 because the gains arent worth the $$. THey go straight to longtubes.
