Question Stock LT1 to Mild

I currently own a stock lt1, i was wanting some input on a good combination as far as cam, valve springs and lifter kit i should use, was well as a nice set of rockers should use to upgrade. Im thinkin the LT4 is too minor an upgrade if plan to go higher in the future. CC503, CC305??

call any supporting vendor that carries a full fo body line and they will have everything you need.

I would do:

cc503 w/complete valvetrain. (pushrods, lifters, 1.6 rockers, springs, etc)
Longtube headers
exhaust
cold air intake
mail order pcm tune

than some suspension stuff. also drag radials

I agree, for a first upgrade I like my 503, and with a good set of heads it will make lots of power. Have Fun.

Think I should go with an aftermarket intake as well, something like Edelbrock?...
Or any other suggestions....

I wouldn't spend my money on an Edelbrock intake. Don't think there are any gains to be had. Get your intake ported to match the ported heads if you go that route.

If your doing head work than have the intake done. But stay away form Edelbrock intake, it only looks good, and does NOTHING for HP.

Porting the stock manifold on a mild cam-only setup is a waste of money.

Porting the heads on a 503 cammed setup is also a waste of money.

So is the Edelbrock manifold on ANY setup.

Really! I beg to differ. My car makes 371 RWHP and runs 12's with street tires, and high 11's with DR and still gets 22 MPG!!! I dont think it was a wast of time.
