stock lt1 exhaust diameter

stock lt1 exhaust diameter

im lookin to eliminate my catalytic converter on my 95 z28, i live in alberta and there is no regulation towards having to have one, im wondering what the diameter of the down piping is before and after the cat?

3" But you will have to get the shop to cut the end(flange) off the cat and weld it to the new peice of pipe so in the future you can bolt up an cat back with out welding it on the car. When I did it it took them about a hour. Good luck.

I'm not sure about before the cat, but after cat the exhaust is 2.75".

I thought before and after the cat was 2.5 inches and the intermediate pipe was 2.75 inches. There wasn't any part of the exhaust that was 3 inches in diameter though.

In order to get it over the stock Y pipe and to match up with the Cat Flange it has to be 3". I cut it off my stock Y and put it on my Pace Setter Mid Y pipe but had to add a peace to make it longer. I still have the stock Y I'll see if i can post a Pic.
