Re: Stock Lt1 Cam Change

The lt4 cam is smaller than the lt1 cam. Just add 1.6 rockers to your lt1 cam and add some 35$ lt4 valve springs and presto.... instant hp.

Re: Stock Lt1 Cam Change

not at all...the cam is what changes it. and to tell you the truth the springs are probably the hardest part. Your best bet is to just get the LT4 hotcam kit..along with the "lope" youll get a very noticable increase in power.-Mark

Ya the LT4 HOT cam will give you the lope. A regular LT4 cam is just a peanut cam. The kit includes the rockers, springs and hardware, and the cam. Not bad for around 500$.

Re: Stock Lt1 Cam Change

Then do some 1.6 roller rockers. I'll break it down for you...

Profrom NSA 1.6 RRs - 170$
LT4 valve springs - 35$
GMPP guideplates - 18$
Comp Cams hardened pushrods - 35$
New valve cover gaskets - 12$
Valve seals - 30$

That cheap enough for you? Id say depending on how bad your current valve springs are you can see 15rwhp.
