Stock Lifters and Gm847
Stock Lifters and Gm847
Hey guys my car has around 65k on it. I am in the middle of doing a cam swap (GM847) and was wondering if you guys think it's ok to run the stock lifters. I have used the search button and see alot of people are ok with it. If there is any question on it then i'll just buy a set for 150 bucks or so thanks for any info.

If they look good, you might as well try them. Your new springs could be a factor on whether they work well or not. For a new set, I would be inclined to give the recently talked about new Cadillac lifters a go. http://64.65.63.61/forums/showthread.php?t=501293
Depends more on the springs than the cam.
I just exploded a stock lifter with my 847 and the crane suggested springs. New OEM low mile lifters, now I probably need a new block. Bearings were toast, crank needs a polish.

On my car I am running the K-800s with .050 additional height (from the recomended 1.84) with comp-Rs early style , still noisy...lol.
