Stock injectors OK for CC305 or similar and 1.6RR?
Re: Stock injectors OK for CC305 or similar and 1.6RR?
I'd say you'd be cutting it very very close with 22lbers.... I would get a set of 30's or so to be safe.
Find an injector calculator on the web to figure it out, from what i've seen 22 lb's seem too small for a cammed car ...

id imagine youd be fine with 22#ers. you really need more fuel after you get your heads ported, in which time you get larger injectors. with a small cam like the ones you mentioned, I want to say youd be fine...

Biggest I've considered so far is CC305 or like a 227/233 from CMotorsports. I'd really like to avoid changing injectors since that tacks on like another 250 bucks. I wanna stay cheap, but at the same time, i don't wanna be CHEAP... If that makes sense. Not LESS than I need, just not MORE either.

theres a nice difference between a 305 and a 227/233. you're leaving out the 224/230 as well, which is a nice cam. going smaller than the 305, you have the hotcam and the GM846.

Go ahead and get the bigger injectors. I can tell you first habd when I had nothing but long tubes, cai, an a muffler that my stock 24's were seeing about 90% duty cycle at 6krpm.
Re: Stock injectors OK for CC305 or similar and 1.6RR?
I have had my heads/cam combination on my car for over 6 years with a cam similar to the CC305. I have been using my stock injectors (now with over 100K miles on them) without any problems. I put 359hp to the rear wheels. I do have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, but I acutally run slightly rich and have the fuel pressure adjusted to the stock pressure. (45psi). From my experience I would say you would be ok with the stock injectors. If you have the $$ and are going to get it tuned anyway, the larger injectors would be some insurance (I guess) and would allow for more mods and HP in the future.
