Stock Heads cc306 Dyno Record Inside???
Stock Heads cc306 Dyno Record Inside???
Hey, i'm not claiming i have the record but last Friday my car put down a SAE corrected 366.48 rwhp and 368.29 rwtq on the stock heads and lower end with 199k miles on it
The pulls were made on a dynojet 248c. Other mods are in my sig, the car was runing extremely lean across the board approaching 15:1 a/f ratio
The dyno operator got out of it before 5k on the first pull since it was runing so lean. I can't believe i trapped 114 mph on this tune and the motor was still living. We added some fuel untill we got it around 13.2:1 and let it cool down to make one last pull. Uncorrected it made 380.58rwhp 382.46rwtq if anyone wanted to know, haha
The before/after graph is attached, BTW thanks to my buddy Chris: Tqdrivenws6 for doing a great job tuning it. I'll post the video later when i have time. 11's here i come

Uncorrected

i was shifting at about 6700 which looks a bit high looking at the dyno numbers, i have an excel spreadsheed i got from a friend i'll input the numbers into and i'll figure out the optimal shift points. As you can see in the first graph i'm working with 20-30 more ftlbs of torque across the board so that should help my 2.0 60' a lot
WOW! Not only did you install a cam on a high mile LT1 but you made awesome numbers too!! Truely inspiring to see someone run there high mile LT1 that high in the revs.
Is this a daily driver? I would love to cam my car but havent cause it has high miles.

I'm a little suprised to see the power start to bleed off so early with the cc306... I would have expected it to climb another 500RPM or so... Great numbers though, and that's actually a liveable RPM Range for a stock bottom end...
Honestly I would wait to redyno it when the temps are around 60-80°F and see the corrected numbers then. At the ends of the temp range the correction factors are a little off. The raw numbers will be nice and high though, but I'm sure if you dyno later on say at 75° you will end up with lower corrected numbers, seen that before.

well, lol thats the funny thing, the car has about 50 passes on it, 20 on the cam and the previous tune runing a 14.5:1 a/f ratio, idk how it made it to the dyno myself, some tough engines...
