What is size of the inlet and outlets of the muffler on a stock 96 Trans Am? Is it something like 3" in, dual 2.5" out?

 

2.75" inlet. Not sure of the outlet.

 

2.75 in, dual 2.25 out

 

Is that a first???

If I want to put a single Bullet after the "Y", should I order the 3" inlet/outlet or the 2-1/2"? I'm welding it up myself and I don't want to order something that doesn't fit. Anyone know if they list the inside or outside diameter

 

Nevermind, I searched.... Well, finished searching. I found this thread in the middle of my search and then the next search I did gave me my answer.

 

My car did not have the stock muffler on it when I bought it, so I could not say for sure. I want to give out accurate info.
