Stock exhaust removel question
Stock exhaust removel question
Im taking off my exhaust manifolds and am having a problem with the passenger side. There is a metal hose that runs to the back of the manifold on top. I can't seem to move the nut without stripping it.(using a 13/16 wrench, which seems to be too big but the 21mm is to small). My question is, how to i take off the house if i cant take it off at the manifold? It runs to the back of the intake manifold from what i can tell. But I can't feel any kind of nut/bolt.
Re: Stock exhaust removel question
I remember that thing. That's the EGR I'm pretty sure. I'd switch to a socket if you can, that's what I did. I used the 1/8" drive or whatever that little *** driver was. It took me awhile cause I could only move the ratchet one click eachway, but I got it! I didn't see any easy way to take it off the intake so...good luck. Sorry I can't remember the size...
Re: Stock exhaust removel question
I can't get it with a socket, its the AIR hose, and the nut is on the hose itself.

Re: Stock exhaust removel question
Oh crap, sorry, thought you were talking about the EGR
Anyways, I used an adjustable wrench on that
I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure I slipped the rubber hose off, then once I got the manifold off, I had the wrench on there, stepped on the manifold, and beat the **** outta that thing...
