stock engine/cam question
I have a 94'Z28 with 97,000 miles on the stock motor. I'm not doing anything radical with the engine, but was wandering if it would be worth it to invest in the LT1 hot cam kit on an engine with those kind of miles. I currently have the SLP CAI on the intake side, and a Borla Y-pipe/Random tech CAT, and high flow muffler. Yes...still have the stock manifolds.
Would that kit do me any good with my existing drivetrain condition? The car drives flawless.
Thanks for any input...I'm just unsure if it would be a waste of money or not.
PS the car is not raced...just a daily driver type setup.

Re: stock engine/cam question
do some headers and yes you will love the hotcam kit so i do think it would be worth it.i had edelbrock shorty headers and the hotcam kit and dynoed 33t rwhp with open cutout. so i say go for it.
Re: stock engine/cam question
My 94 has 105k and you can look at my sig and see what I'm about to install. As long as you have good oil pressure and the compression is good, I would go for it. If you do it, I would ditch the manifolds for headers as well. They would only hold back the cam.
