Stock converter and tb?
Stock converter and tb?
What kind of stock converter and throttle body came on the 94 TA? I'm looking at a 52mm tb and possibly a 3000 converter. What is too big of a tb for my car and what is the best to run? What size converter is the best?
A stock TB (48mm, btw) is plenty for bolt on's and a cam. I wouldn't spend any $ on a 52 just yet.
The stock converter I've heard is around a 1600 or 1800 stall. Someone with more knowledge on this will have to chime in with an exact # for you.
A 3k stall would be great, but keep in mind there's a (potential) bug with OBD I and 3k stalls. You might have to get a tuner to get through the shifting problem. Since you're not very modified, a 2800 will probably do what you're looking for. BTW, If you're wondering why I went with a 2400, I only got it to deal with the lurching I got from my idle due to the cam. I don't drag race.
Which brand converter? I'd do some searches, it really depends on what you're looking to get out of it and how much you want to spend. Check the drivetrain forum as well, lots of good info on this stuff in there.
