Why would you need 200 amps? Do you have a lot of stereo gear or something?

the one with a stud on the back is a 140....

the one that has a little tinny bolt with a funny conector is a smaller amp one from the earlier cars. Pretty sure 94 had that one.

94s could have a 124A (bolt connecting the battery cable and metal fan) or 140A (stud/nut for connecting battery cable and plastic fan).

What about 93s?

Well, by reading shoebox's post, looks like 93s are 124A... at least MINE is.

yup that is correct, mine is one of the 94's that came with the 140 amp alternator

i read at one time that if the car had the dual fan setup where both fans would run on low speed and then both on high speed you would have the 140 amp alternator

if you had the earlier fan setup you would have the 124 amp

You can use a 140 on a 124 car.

Even a stock 124A alt should be able to power your normal, stock accessories.

well when i replace things i try n get things so that i don't have to expand on down the line of upgrading so if 124 was doing it id get the 140 just so down the road i know it can handle what i throw at it n not end up getting banged twice for it.
