stock air box myth?
stock air box myth?
I heard that if you get a K&N replacement filter you can cut the face off the box so that the whole filter is open to air you get HP gains. Is this true. A good friend of mine made a good point when he said that it wouldn't be taking cold air from under the car but the hot air from inside the engine compartment. And, how does a cold air kit work on 94's because the cone is setting right where the old box is and not under the car like in 97's! Thanks for your help guys!

Someday I'll get the Ultra-Z ramair hood, and that will eliminate that restrictive duct.... Until then it stays stock on my car.
