I think the bone must've been borrowed from the expression, "bone dry."

Or perhaps "the bare bones." As in, I removed everything in my car down to the bare bones.

Sounds like a combination of the two.

 

14.40's at 94 or 95 mph. 6 passes and never varied more than .04. Should have left it stock and done some bracket racing.

 

My old car a 95Z with 2.73 and a cai plus flowmaster muffler went 14.2 at 97-98mph.

that was 7,000 dallars ago in the good old days!! killing Mustangs was not good enough I guess. I had to go after the Z06 vette, now something breaks at least once a month on my car, and I still can't beat a Z06 I can see a 150 shot in my future
