Question stock 94 TA

I Just got a 94 TA w/ 113k on it from my little brother. The Opti-spark was just replaced a few months ago. 8 months ago I put a new trans in it for him from LS1 technologies. He destroyed it and thats how I got the car. It barely had 1st and third gears. My buddy is rebuilding the trans for me now and I was wondering what kind of 1/4 times I could expect from it considering it ran pretty good when I first put the trans in it.

Stock auto TA...assuming its in good tune, fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, wires and all that are in good operating condition I'd say between a 14.1 and a 14.50.

Not sure what your car has for gears but mine as it is in my sig has run 14.2@98. I know it's not stock but it's pretty lightly modded..... my 60ft times are consistantly 2.2's I know the car has more in it but until I can cut down my 60's I'm stuck! Hope this helps!

Good luck!

Mike

This one's got 2.73's in it too. a 2.2 60' ??? Is that normal? My 87 Iroc was pulling 1.90 60's w/ 170k on it and stock. I mainly want to get to low 13's with this one and still be able to drive it to work (100 mi). My Iroc is getting torn down for a strip car though.

TPI = TORQUE...(I'm assuming you had a TPI motor) you could pull a dang building off its foundation with those things...if you could get them to hook you could do sub 2 second 60ft's all day...you can with an LT1 too...low 13 second daily driver huh? Should be fairly easy, I've seen some very fast cars with 2.73's...First thing I'd do is a complete exhaust (headers, get rid of the cats or if you can't get rid of them get hi flows) do a CAI, I assume the tranny will have a shift kit in it...get a tranny cooler so it'll last longer...you do the exhaust and CAI and you're deep into the 13's. Get a custom tune and you never know, you may be there...its really hard to say for sure until you run the car though...I've seen auto LT1's with complete exhaust, CAI, and a tune run 13.20s and I've seen them run 13.80s...I'm sure there are a few guys faster/slower...You could also get a 3000 or 3200 stall and that'd wake it up too especially off the line with those 2.73 gears...
