Still want a SPEC???
Still want a SPEC???
I installed this SPEC Stage 3 and SLP PP back in March 2004....
After a few months of Everyday driving... "NO harsh CLUTCH DROPS" or "Extreme burnouts" just normal wear and tear... the end product is in these pictures...
Unfreaking believable... this is my 2nd and last SPEC clutch... First one removed for problems disengaging... this one removed for the obvious... what a POS and a waste of cash.... Here are some photos for the believers that swear by these clutches.... don'
t take my word for it... though... feel free to try a POS SPEC clutch today... matter of fact I'll givey ou mine to throw in... I'm sure you can get some great passes out of it...

SPEC STAGE 3
Re: Still want a SPEC???
My 2nd SPEC3 has just started to slip some after 18 months. The first one I put in blew up and was the OLD design, which SPEC replaced. I'll be looking for a non SPEC after this one comes out.
Re: Still want a SPEC???
That really sucks. Thats the reason why I decided to get the stage 4 disc. Solid hub design, hardly any chatter, feels very smooth and holding up great so far for me. Best of all no little '4 cylinder' springs to break. This info really belongs in the drivetrain section.

ditto.........if you do any sort of search before buying, you will find tons of threads about how the spec stage 3 is weak because of the springs, and everyone who has failures is almost always because of that.
the stage4 doesnt have springs, and people still say it has a similar pedal engagement, so thats what i ordered.
granted, i would rather have the street twin like rskrause said..........but DOUBLE the price of the stage 4 is hard to swallow.
