I can't see any way possible a hit in the front could cause the fuel pump to go. Sounds more like a leak in your lines or something.

Re: still no start!!

Turn you key to the on postion and if you hear your fuel pump priming then it is working for start up. Check your fuel pressure at the valve next to the pressure regulator. If you have the stock regulator on it should hold at 47 psi.

Re: still no start!!

ok its running, would you believe it was low on gas and the tank showed close to half? the only problem is that now it soits and dies out if you give it gas. could that be from the maf hose/elbow leaking air/partially disconnected?

Try taping the gage to the windshield and watching pressure as you accelerate. Try disconnecting the maf before you start it up(leave it in place). You will get an ses light but it is ok. If it runs fine, your problem is maf related. If not, it isn't.

Re: still no start!!

Did you put more 93 octane in it ?

There are any numer of things it could be honestly, just from spitting and sputtering. Could be the opti since it was hit in the front.
