Steering wheel column adjustment

Hi! I have a 94 camaro v6 body that I recently swapped the engine out with a 96 v8. Everything's done and it was hard work but I'm glad I did it... I have a small issue though, the steering wheel column is rubbing against the shorty headers I have on. It was pretty bad and noisy till I got an alignment done and that helped Alot. However it still rubs a little. My mechanic said there wasn't much he could do about it. I was wondering where I could get this solved? Simply a place that does alignments? Has anyone had any experience with this kind of thing?

Re: Steering wheel column adjustment

You could try loosening the three bolts that hold the column to the firewall and try shifting the column over, then re-tightening the bolts. There might be a little play to be had, there.
