Steering shaft Linkage

Just a question that I've been meaning to ask for while now. My steering shaft came loose since I added headers a few years back. Found the problem but don't know the fix.

This is not from my LT1 but it's close enough since I suck with computers.

It's the black jacket thats close to the firewall. It hold the steering shaft in place. It's like a bearing or adapter that holds the shaft in place but instead the white plastic adapter and everything else inside the black jacket melted and fell out. It's hollow inside there now and my shaft has major play. Steering wheel also has play and vibrates when hitting the brakes.

I'm thinking it's number 86, 87, 88, and 89 that I would probably need?

I'm not 100% sure if these are the parts I need.

Thanks for any help guys and gals.

Ok, kind of fixed it but with someone elses pic. Hope it resembles what I'm talking about. 94 Bad A Z28, the reason why the first pic didn't show up is because it takes 24 hours for Webshots to show new downloaded pics on there data base. My fault

Re: Steering shaft Linkage

I'm thinking maybe a whole new jacket may have to be installed.
