Startup Problems? Opti? HELP!

I finally finished my 383 stroker project and got it back into the car. Now, when we first went to start her up, it started but wouldnt idle at all, below 1750rpm, it died. Then we shut it off and now it wont start. Checked for spark going to the cylinders, none at any cylinder. Checked the coil, it IS making spark which leads me to believe opti or computer. The computer was switched with another and still nothing. I did get a little water on the opti from a leak in a hose but a minute amount. Also i accidentally switched the two lines going to the optispark so that the vacuum line was the air line and vice versa, would this matter? Keep in mind this is a BRAND NEW optispark from GM. Please, any help at all!!

Hmm well it does look live youve narrowed down the problem pretty well... but this does belong in a engine spacific forum. I'll move it for you, thanks.

If the coil is making spark, the pcm has to be sending signals to it for it to do so. If you are getting no spark from any plug wire, then there is a breakdown between the coil and the opti or within the opti.

Sounds like you are using a vented opti. Did you make certain the dowel pin on the cam was not too long for the vented opti drive? The opti should have fit flush onto the block mounting bosses. If the pin is too long, it will put pressure on the internals of the opti and cause it to self-destruct.
