Starts cold, stalls, won't restart.
Starts cold, stalls, won't restart.
I am currently dealing with a 94 LT1 Cadillac Fleetwood, I know it's not an F-body but I figured maybe someone would have ideas.
You can start it up cold and it runs, it will run for maybe 10 minutes or so then it stalls out. It will not restart. Just spins over, it does have spark. While cranking it shows 0.0ms injector pulse both sides. Any suggestions?

Re: Starts cold, stalls, won't restart.
A 16 or a 42 will shut down the injectors and will NOT set an SES. Since you said the injector pulses are 0, we assume you checked for codes and there were none.
Then a resonable assumption is it's a hot break down failure of the PCM. Get your noid light and hair dryer. Put the noid light on an injector and from a completely cold over night stand, start it up for just a few seconds and shut it back down. While it's running, confirm the noid light is flashing. Now heat up the PCM with a dryer until it is just too hot to touch. Now try starting it up again. If it doesn't start, or starts and shuts back off, check the noid light and see what the injector is doing.
Now either cool the PCM down with something like freeze spray available at electrical supply shops or used compressed air to cool it or simply wait
for it to cool. Now try it again.
Doubt your PCM grounds are the problem since you should be getting all sorts of problems and codes but check them anyway.

Re: Starts cold, stalls, won't restart.
My car runs rich during cold startups and if I dont let it warm up itll do the same. The only way to restart it is to hold the peddel down and start it. Not sure if it's the same issue but it's close.
