Starting problem

Does anyone have any idea what this problem is.. I had my 95 z28 sitting for about four weeks. I went to start it up and the battrey was dead. ok i figured. I jump it. I tried and then it just made this clicking noise. Really fast. So then i thought it was just a bad battrey so i tried charging it. And now the battrey is charged but it still wont start. Just makes a fast clicking noise.. any ideas?

Sounds like a fuel pump issue to me. Do your lights and everything work? I had the same issue when my fuel pump went bad. Just a rapid clicking noise and no fuel coming through. Especially since it's been sitting for weeks on end.

you charged the dead battery? did you test the battery to see if its holding a charge? i think it may still be a battery problem

Have the batt tested and also check the connections on the starter . Tap the starter syllonoide<sp> with a hammer it may be stuck. If the batt is good doubble check all the large gauge wire connections grounds and positives. the ground on the passenger well is prone to croosion under the fender well. loosen it and check it for corrosion too.
