starting problem

has anyone ever had there car crank over fire up for a second then the power dies out on the car and it stalls? i have been experiancing this problem right after i put a opti and waterpump in the car. could it be the starter or could i be misfiring or something. i am almost positive aall the plug wires are correct. or maybe my engine is severly flooded and i have to look into getting new plugs.

Re: starting problem

if the car is starting up for even a split second and stalling then it has nothing to do witht eh started. As soon as the car fires the started is out of the equation. I would guess the opti was not put on right - what year is the car?

Re: starting problem

i broke the opti fixing the first problem which was the waterpump. i put the new waterpump on and all of a sudden the car had no spark anymore because i broke the optical eye sensor, so i had to get a new opti. i turned the car over quite a bit with no spark. i am thinking its really flooded or fouled out.
