Re: starting issue

Is the small wire you're talking about going to the starter?

Why won't it tighten?

Re: starting issue

Do you mean the ground wire that is in the same bundle as the purple wire from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid?:

Re: starting issue

For clarification there are no ground wires on the starter. There is a 12v+, purple wire from the ignition switch, and a small jumper from the solenoid to the starter motor.

I've seen a few cheap aftermarket starters where the small terminal (purple) spins on the solenoid. What kind of starter are you using? OEM? Parts store brand?

Re: starting issue

The small ground by the starter won't cause your starting problems. If you cannot make it tight for some reason where it is, you can ground it anywhere on the engine.

Re: starting issue

If you hear a clicking sound, when you turn the key to start the car, check the battery.
