Starter wiring help

Is there any reason i would have power on the purple wire that goes to the starter at all times when the key is on? When you turn the key to start position it has no change in voltage. Thanks for any help..

Re: Starter wiring help

Have you checked it with the purple wire removed from the solenoid?

A bad ignition switch might cause it.

Re: Starter wiring help

Actually i checked it from the plug in the kick panel. I stripped my stock harness out to install A FAST XFI setup and cant figure out why it is powered all the time when the key is on. When i turn the key to the start positiion i can hear a clicking under the dash?
