starter replacement on 1996 lt1
hey guys. ive been looking for a way to change the starter on my lt1. the problem i was having is that i could not get the starter past the exhaust. so i figured it out and thought id share the info for anyone with the same problem. there is a bracket behind the catalytic converter that needs to come lose and also the brace behind that that must come lose. after you take the starter lose you will have to wiggle it but it will come between the exhaust and the oil pan. thats the only way i could get it out.
