starter problem ....

starter problem ....

first off my car wouldnt crank the other night and the dash was dead ...i posted on here was told the ignition switch needed to be replaced so i did that and now the dash works but when i went to turn it over the starter bumped and the dash went dead again the switch work 3 minutes and then died .....is it possible that the starter is burning up the ignition switch ...should i replace the solenoid ...any advice will be appreciated

Have you ruled out a weak/dead battery?

if i were you i would start small like the battery connection might be loose or corroded and or battery might be dead

i will replace the battery tommorow and repost i will try anything at this point

I wouldn't replace the battery if you don't know if it's dead. I would go get it tested before you decide whether to replace it or not.

I agree make sure the battery is bad before you replace it if its not broke dont fix it you can take it down to like autozone and get it tested for free
