Every post about starter install says theres only 2 wires you need to take off. When i took mine off i had to take 3 wire out . does anyone know what the third one is. Im it kind of looks like the one for the solenoid but a little bigger. I just want to make sure im putting it on right

There are only 2 wires that go to the starter. The third wire in the same bundle is a ground that goes to the engine block.

Thank you> Now i have another problem, What if the bolt that goes into the block isnt,nt there anymore. i think it got ripped out some how during the header install, I see the hole where its suppose to be. So what if the ground wire isnt screwed onto the side of the block. what would happen and what could i do

On my car that little bolt held that bracket in place

i remember seeing that, but it ripped out when i was taking the wires off the starter.. Im not sure where the bolt went. So its not grounded. I started my car and it runs. But i havent taken it on the streets yet. I just want to know how i could fix this, or if i even need to.

Just ground the wire somewhere else. The PCM and some sensors need that ground.
