starter hole

While under my car I noticed my starter has a hole in the bottom, should there be a plug in it or is it a vent of some kind?

Re: starter hole

Mine has a short rubber hose attached to the hole; looks to be a drain hole.

Re: starter hole

thanks for the quick reply, I was worried about getting moisture in there if it was missing a plug. Ya think I need to silicone a hose on it or just leave it alone?
