Thanks

Piece of cake. 2 bolts, 2 wires and your there. Still won't fix your other problem though.

Thumbs up Re: Starter

Sounds like the optispark to me. Washing the engine is a no no. If you can park the car and wait awhile, look into getting an MSD opti. Their new and on back order, but from what I've heard it doesn't have the design flaws the OEM optispark has plus some extra goodies.

Did I misunderstand you? You washed the engine down. It wouldn't start. Cranked it till it burned up the starter. New starter won't fix the non starting issue. Drying out for a while might.

Re: Starter

you dont have to drop the exhaust, i did my 94 with everything in place. just disconnect the battery, take the 2 bolts out of the starter and take the torque converter cover off if it is an auto and you kinda have to twist and stand it straight on end pushing toward the front of the car and it will fit thru that hole. it seems like it wont, the first time it takes a little force and trial and error, ( he he he) but the second time is much easier after you find the trick. the second time i did it (on a buddys car) i had it at his feet in ten minutes.
