started my LONG TUBE install

today i started my long tube install.

i purchased pacesetter long tubes(ceramic coated) and an ORY-pipe.

the AIR fittings were a bitch. overall, i got the manifolds of along with the stock y-pipe. and all the plugs but 1.

funny thing was the starter. i broke a socket on the starter bolt(craftsmen, so i will replace it for free). after about 20 min of wrenching on it, it finally broke loose.

i also tried my drivers side header from top. it went in nicely. it got stuck on something on the bottom, but it was probably 85% of the way in(i was by myself). the drivers side has always been said to be the BITCH. i hope the passenger side will be nice.

i will install the headers tommorow.

HOPE everything goes well. noing me it won't though.

update:

i can't get any of the long tubes in from the top or bottom right now. they can go in from the bottom, but i need to get my dads MUCH bigger jack stands so that i can take the proper angle.

i would install the drivers from the top, but it is hitting the valve cover.

the passenger side opti terminals for the plugs are a bitch. i got one off and the rest i am wondering about.

the funny thing is though, i am real skinny. if some of my friends were to try this, they would be crying due to large cuts and absolutely no room. i can barely fit my hand in there

i hope my luck changes for the better.

From what I hear you want the car as high as you can possibly get it. When I do mine I am gonna look for a place with a lift I can rent for the day or whatever.

I had to take the valve covers off both sides and and jack the motor up to get the passenger side in. It went in really easy once the motor was jacked up.
