Hey guys, any of you happen to have a vacuum hose diagram I can check out? Thanks for the help guys.
Well, now that I think about it, I believe i do have a vacuum leak or something. Because Datamaster says my MAP is 100 when i turn the key and rpm's are 50, that is just with the car on, nothing run. As soon as I run it it immediately climbs to 4800rpm (And you have no idea how loud that is when its outside your house in your driveway with open headers at a constant 4800k rpm) and the map usually stays between 35-45. Now im just trying to figure this out really. Any ideas folks? Would the opti some how tell the computer to go that fast? I mean, it couldnt be a fault opti right? I just bought it and it seems to work.
Ok I went home for lunch and believe I spotted the problem. My goofball cousin when we were putting the fuel rails back on never put the passenger side rails on correctly, I have the two rear #6 & #8 fuel injectors outside of the damn housing their supposed to be in, he is getting smacked thats for sure. Would this cause this high idle? Ideas?
BTW: THe injectors are hovering over the injector cavities, which would probably explain why it could start. Also this would probably explain the 100 MAP reading in datamaster when the key was on.

Ok, when I got home I fixed the fuel rails and badda boom badda bing, she purred like a kitten at 850-900 rpm constantly. It started at about 1600 rpm then slowly dropped down. Least I know that was my "High Idle" Problem
. Thanks a bunch guys.

It wasn't so much that, its that my cousin usually helps out and I assumed he knew he what he was doing but that is obviously not the case, he isn't getting anywhere near my engine bay any more :P. Thanks for the help though

i've never had my TB apart but isn't there coolant lines that run into the throttle body? if so, and he does not have the radiator hooked up, it may be possible that is the origin of the air causing his high idle.
i'd say get EVERYTHING hooked up and then try starting it.
i was thinking about starting mine tomorrow w/o the radiator hooked up, but might think otherwise now
oh, my bad, i didn't read the 2nd page of this thread! sounds like he already solved the problem

I'd be really curious to know where the direct path between the intake manifold to the coolant system is? There should be no problem starting you car without the radiator on!

You just can't let it run for more than a few seconds...
