Question start car.... sounds like a cam and stalled twice...

im in rochester NY, and weve been getting pounded with snow, and temps have been in single digits and low teens if not lower at night... so im at college and car has been parked for almost a month now.. i manage to take it out for a quick ride every other week or so if its nice, but other than that she has to sit.

well i took car out for gas yesterday and drove her a total of about 20 min. and parked her. today i had to move her so my school could relocate snow and i had to move her right away without letting her warm up.

immediately when i started to drive to another parking lot she was popping out of the exhaust and missfiring. running real rough and choppy. i then came to a stop at a sign and my SES light flashed and then car stalled... took 3 tries to get her going without stalling out and she sounded like she had a huge cam in her.

i drove the rest of the 50 yards and parked her.

now, she was running perfect yesterday so my question is, could this just have been from the cold start at all?

cars got new plugs, new wires, new o2's, and hadnt been giving me any trouble at all.

im praying opti didnt crap out

I would bet a vaccum line or a sensor is unplugged. Check that all your hoses and sensors are plugged in. Just my $.02

good idea... i get out of work in an hour and am going to give her a good going through, then if everything is looking good start her up and let her run for a while before testing again..

sure does suck having this as my only car and considering our winters makes life difficult.

I am sure its nothing, that has happened to me several times and its always something is unpluged, or a vaccum leak. Good luck

How and why does cold affect a cars starting? I've had starting trouble a couple of times on frosty mornings, I can't see why.
