Which "stage" port job for hotcam?
With all the talk of Stage1,Stage2 port jobs on heads, what am I looking for with the hotcam kit?Flow numbers?
Can you over-port the heads for the cam?
Will a fully worked LT1 head be fine for the hotcam application?
Should the intake be port matched also?
Sorry for all the questions but would like to do it right and someone local is selling stock LT1 heads cheap.
Thanks!

stage I and II is complete BS. There is no standardazied flow for the different stages, its just whatever whoever is selling it wants to call it. Can you overport the stock lt1 heads for use with a hotcam? yes and no. Not with a good port job, the more flow the better. But with a bad port job yes, if you end up with huge runners with crappy velocity but decent flow its not going to perform. You should forget about all that stage I II crap and get your heads done by Loyd Elliot. Do a search on here, he's a LT1 head expert with very good pricing.
