I have ARP 12pt bolts. Tighten them a couple days after heat cycling and they havent backed out since. Thats been almost 2 years ago. I would buy the ARP's again if i had to do it all over. Oh yea, all the bolts are cake to get to with a small wrench and a little grinding on the closed end of the wrench so it fits between the primary tubes and the bolts. 5mins of grinding the wrench if that.
could you explain in better detail? what makes the ARP's different/better than the bolts that came with the headers? I have Jet-Hots and the thick primaries make it impossible to get anything around the head of the bolts in the back bolts of the pass and driver side. Do the ARP's have smaller heads on em? do you have any pics of em on your car? the only reason i would be looking at stage 8's is because of the the allen head deal. dont really feel like messing with little locks, im fine with just retightening if i have to. The allen head seems like putting the bolts on would be cake.

stage8 + allen head =sweeeeeeet

its the best way to get all the bolts as tight as possible without slicing off pieces of your arm/hands.

i didnt use all the retainers (they are annoying to put on)

i used 2 or 3 on each side...............but mainly used the stage8s because of the allen head makes it so much easier.

You can sort of see how the ARPs are in this pic. Head smaller to get a socket on. Look at #1.

I used the bolts that came with my headers, it's been 3 years and they hadn't backed off at all when the headers came off last week.

I bought the ARPs. I like them but the 4th bolt from the front on the pass side (right after the #6 primary) fell out and the 2nd from the front was very loose on the same side. I already retorqued the driver's side and there's no problems there but I found this yesterday when I went to do the pass side (should of done it earlier). I like the bolts but I didnt retighten them when I should of due to lack of time. So now I'm trying to get a bolt that came with the headers into that hole and its not working out too well from up top. Tomorrow I'm going to try and do it from the bottom.
