Stage 8 header bolts ?????

Question Stage 8 header bolts ?????

There is 2 choices on what do get: the 3/4" or the 1". What do most of you get. I will be installing the MAC headers

MACs have a relatively thinner flange than other headers, so you can get away with 3/4" bolts.

3/4" bolts may be easier depending on the header. With 1 inch bolts you may run into interference problems where you can't line the bolt up straight enough to get into the hole if the pipe is in the way.

Get the 1" bolts. They will grip into the head better and reduce the chance of stripping. One note with the stage 8's - the clips rattle under the hood. To solve this I used one coil off of a small spring behind each clip. It made it difficult to put the clips on but it's nice and quiet under the hood.

I used the 1" ones as I had a bad experience with the 3/4" ARP bolts. If you have a dremel you could also cut them down too.
