SS Spoiler and ABS INOP light

I did a search on this and found some confusing instructions on how to get rid of the ABS INOP light that came up with the install of the spoiler. I didnt understand what to do at all so my questions is cant i just take out the bulb that lights up the ABS INOP light?

IMO, it is foolish to defeat the warning lamps on the dash. I'm sure you came across something that said to wire a relay coil in series with the spoiler lamps. That is at least one method that will work.

The posts you found should have explained it. Basically, you take a 12v automotive relay and cut the power or ground side of the loop going to the spoiler lights. Then splice on side of the wire to terminal 85 and the other to 86. This is the coil side of the relay. You are not using the contact portion of the relay at all. You just want the resistance of the coil in the circuit. People choose the relay coil because of it's ablility to dissipate the heat from the current in the circuit.

This is the way I remember it, if wrong, somebody correct me.

I think there was another method to make the LEDs work, but I cannot remember what it was.

[edit] Later info has revealed that the relay coil should be wired in parallel, not in series. Bridge terminals 85 and 86 to the two wires going to the spoiler.
