SS hood scoop
I want a SS hood scoop but as I have been looking into this I've noticed the air box clear towards the back and the long hose the air has to go though etc, dosent this kinda defeat the purpose of cold air induction? or is the hose still too short to make a diffrence, but then wouldnt it be the same as stock, as far as the air coming in warming up before it gets to the engine?
I was thinking of getting an SS hood and keeping my CAI and using the ram air box just to cool the intake manifold. DOes that sound reasonable to anyone? I think ss hoods look great but I dont think I could drive a car with a nonfunctional airscoop.

CAI or cold air intake replaces the stock air box/filter. It relocates the filter to the left underside of the engine bay and provides a free, undisturbed air flow. They're good for about 15 HP. Maroso, K & N, and SLP are good CAI kits to look at.
