Well for the last couple of weeks I have had this very high pitched squeal. I thought it was the belt so I replaced it only to cause it to become constant and twice as lound. It happens all the time whether I am stopped or moving so that pretty much narrows it down to one of the pullies. It gets louder with RPM. I have ruled out the A/C.

I am thinking the PS pump pulley but the sound is very hard to pinpoint. So is this a good place to start?

P.S. I looked for a pig in my engine compartment but came up empty

 

I had a similar problem and it was the tensioner. That's the most inexpensive place to start.
