Angry Squeaking alternator pulley

The pulley on my alternator squeaks and it's annoying.
Anyone take the pulley off and grease the bearings? Is there an easy way to get rid of the squeak without replacing the alt? Know where an alt diagram is?

If its making a high pitched noise it might be on its way out all together.

The rear bearing is usually the one that lets go.

Sure it's the alternator[not the tensioner pulley?]
The front alternator bearing is 'sealed'.. the rear can be 'greased', and both are replaceable..

Yep- it's the alt- I had it off a few weeks back and noticed it was a little squeaky then.

Can I pull the pulley off with a puller and replace the bearings?

Check the brushes too...
The pulley is the hardest to get off..
then split the alt cases[4 bolts, mark the orientation of the 2 halves]
The front bearing is held in by a retainer, from the inside.. the shaft is a 'press' fit..
After the halves are 'split apart' take the front half and support it,[blocks of wood etc] put the nut on the front of the shaft and tap shaft out of the front bearing..
When reassembling, use a paper clip from the outside thru a hole in the housing, to hold the brushes back from the rotor[clean the contact surfaces also...]
