Still thinking about spraying my 383.... I have a kit now Cast crank and hyp pistons. This means i whould have to buy new pistons crank and rods. My car has 4.10s now my goal is to be in the low 12s high 11s

383
11 to 1 comp
cc306 cam
1.6 RR
Trick Flow heads
Ported LT1 intake.

with a good hook what do u think my car whould run in the Ball park. I forgot to say im curently spraying my car now with a 100 shot.

i say you should be in the 12's with out the shot and possible in the 11's with it... i could be wrong, but sounds like you could there already...

i am knocking on 11s with my setup without spray and on a stock bottom end. I just need to get some tires and my worn out suspension taken care of and i should be there. If all you want is 11s you should get there on motor pretty easy..

As soon as i get a 12bolt i will be looking for 10s on spray

Engine should stand up to 100 to 150 max shots without having to have forged cranks and pistons.100 shot is very safe and will chop a full second usually assuming traction.

Spray it..!!

Im woried tho the crank is only rated to 500hp its cast.
Piston I plan on using
Rods are not an issue I got a good set.
Will they hold a 100 shot or even a 150 shot

Forged is the way to go but N/A it will be OK but on n2o those pistons are not the greatest. With decent heads your car should run 11's easily N/A. Look at my sig.

That's a very inappropriate piston for nitrous use. I believe it's a light weight piston for "restricted" applications. Why did you chose that piston?

You might want to look at my thread in "N2O Tech" for some tips on nitrous engine building.

Best route for you IMO too. I would want some forged slugs for spray....the rest of your setup would be ok
