Spohn vs BMR, which is better?

Both Spohn and BMR seem to be right around the same price range for suspension components. Is there a better make or are they just about the same?

Also are chromeoly pieces worth the price?

I have pieces from both of them.

Quality is good either way you go. Cant go wrong, and almost a matter of ordering from who is closer to get quicker shipping

As far as the CM parts, they are useful if you are looking to save weight everywhere you can,IE: drag car, road race car.

Cm is roughly a shade less then 1/2 the weight of mild steel on average. With the small pieces,im not really sure, because it also depends on what size tubing is used in both cases.

Personally my vote is Spohn over BMR. Spohns components are just alot beefier than BMR's stuff , thus making it heavier also . But both make great suspension components.

In all honesty, unless someone has used both manufacturers' products extensively, there is no way for them to say which one is better.

I like the Spohn components because of the quality, price and customer service. I personally saw Steve Spohn make major improvements to the 60-foot times on the world's quickest LT1 (9.04@155mph in a 3,900# convertible). But for all I know, BMR could be just as good.... I just never used a BMR product. I've been looking at the BMR K-member and tubular A-arms, and they look a lot better than the PA components.

It looks like I can get a deal on BMR so it looks like Ill go with them. Ill also go with chromeoly since everylittle bit of weight savings count.

Thanks guys.

Quality wise, I'd say they are pretty much equal. Anyone who says BMR's stuff isn't as beefy has never taken a look at BMR components.

I have products from both of them. It seems to be easier to get stuff from BMR at a discount, which is a plus, and also easier to get a variety of colors (not a big deal).

I did choose my Spohn Torque arm because of the price, however. It is a different design than the BMR Xtreme duty unit, and costs less. Doesn't require welding, and I figure if George Baxter's car can run many low 9 second passes on this unit, it should be more than enough for me.

IMO, neither is a bad choice at all.
