JVC CD changer in factory HU

i am hookin it up to a stock tape deck. it came out of a taurse with a stock radio. i have 1 wire that goes to the antenna, a place to put the antenna wire to. i also have a red, yellow, and black wire. what do i splice these 3 too? the black would probable go to the ground, the red some for of power and i was thinkin the yellow was a turn on so when the radio comes on the cd changer does. is there a blue or yellow wire to splice the wire into? usually there is a blue wire for power antennas to turn them on, is there on a stock HU or just aftermarket ones? and is there a red wire i gotta splice with the red one i got?

the black wire is a ground wire, the red wire is an accessory wire, and the yellow is a constant 12V. you will also need an antenna adapter if your cars year is above 1988. on a gm radio harness the black wire is a ground, the yellow wire is an accessory wire, and the orange wire is a constant 12V (im pretty sure), just double check with a test light or a meter first. hope this helps

it actually had adapters on it to fit the taurse. i pulled them off and the orginal wires fit. saved me 15 bucks in adapters. but now im stuck with the wires. at ls1.com it said the wireing harness was like this
......................Pink........................ ...Power Antenna
9......................Yellow..................... 12V Ignition
10....................Orange....................12 V Constant
so that means yellowof the changer to orange on the harness and pink to the red of the harness? or the yellow? if i run it to the pink it will turn on with the radio right? and dont i have to set the radio to a certain channel? or just turn it on?

correct, the yellow on the changer goes to the orange wire, and you can hook up the red wire up to either the pink or the yellow wires on the harness. the pink wire gets 12V when the radio is on and the yellow gets 12V when the car is on. once you get everything hooked up you should be able to hit play on the changer and then the seek button on the radio and it will find the station the changer has to be on (at least that worked on all the ones i did). the station is usually around 88.7 or 89.9 FM. good luck!

i got it working. my station was 88.1. but all of the speakers soundd crackly like its a bad radio station. even when the tape player is playing..... its a stock tape player and it might be going to crap but i donno. would it be because the antenna has to go through the changer moduel in the front then back to the old antenna wire in the back then to the radio again? we just put new speakers in too.
