I have milidon splayed 4 bolt main caps, in my 396, with a canton pan. I had to cut quite a bit off the dipstick to fit, and was wondering what all of you did with the dipstick to fit in. Mine hits the cap, and I dont know how to bend it.

 

on my buddies car we just used a pair of plyers to bend it slightly. It will only go in one way. You should only have to give it a little bend that way it will slide down the side of the cap.

 

Bent it with a hardline bender (like what you would use for brake line). Works fine.
